"Retirement" or WHAT NEXT™ respects and protects the privacy of our customers and visitors to our web site. This privacy statement provides details about how personal information is collected and used.
How We Collect and Use Information
"Retirement" or WHAT NEXT™ collects information from visitors at several different points on our web site:
Program Registration page
This page allows visitors to register for upcoming programs by completing, printing and mailing in a registration form. Information is not submitted on-line via this form. The mandatory information collected here is used by "Retirement" or WHAT NEXT™ solely to reserve a space at the program for the registrant. Optionally, the registrant may indicate on the form to request to be added to our mailing list. Also optionally, the registrant may indicate to us how they heard about the program they are registering for; this information is solely for the purpose of allowing us to monitor and improve our marketing.
Email Newsletter Subscription
Visitors are given the opportunity at many points on the site to subscribe to our informational newsletter. These subscription forms are linked to the on-line services of our emailing list management provider (currently Constant Contact). We use this contact information to email users information about our company and its products and services if requested or necessary.
Constant Contact has it's own strict set of policies governing the use of the email lists that they maintain on our behalf. To summarize how we conform to their permission-based and informed consent email policies:
- Every email sent by users of their service, such as "Retirement" or WHAT NEXT™, must contain a mandatory unsubscribe link. If the link is removed or de-activated in any way, Constant Contact will terminate the customer's account. By following the link, subscribers are automatically removed from our contact lists to avoid the chance of sending unwanted emails to visitors who have unsubscribed.
- Email must be sent only to those who have requested to receive it.
- The recipient of the email has been clearly and fully notified of the collection and use of his email address and has consented prior to such collection and use. Our Constant Contact registration page already states why we are collecting the site visitor's email address, how we plan to use their address, and that we are following the embedded privacy policy. Additionally, by accepting Constant Contact's license agreement we have agreed to use only permission-based lists and never to sell or rent our lists.
- Constant Contact automatically sends all of our new contacts an email confirming their interest in receiving emails from us. Additionally, if our contact changes his or her interests or unsubscribes, Constant Contact automatically sends an email confirmation.
- Our email header information is correct because it is pre-set for us by Constant Contact. Our email's "From" address is verified and already accurately identifies us as the sender.
- All of our emails are pre-filled with our contact information including our physical address.
Contact Us page
This page is a general-purpose contact form that allows visitors to send feedback, suggestions, ideas and enquiries. The visitor has the option to indicate that they would like to be subscribe to our email newsletter. If this option is checked, we will enter the details submitted into the emailing list that we maintain using the services of Constant Contact. If this option is not checked the information input here will only be used by us to contact the visitor with regard to this specific communication.
Email A Friend page
This page allows visitors to use the email system of our hosting service (currently GoDaddy) to email a link to a page on our web-site to a friend. Information input here will not be used by us to contact the visitor or his/her friend and we do not maintain a record of any of the information input on this form.
Visitor logs
Information about visitor's computer hardware and software is automatically logged on behalf of"Retirement" or WHAT NEXT™ on our hosting company servers. This information can include: their IP address, browser type, domain names, operating system, access times, referring URL/site, pages visited and search query used. This information is used by "Retirement" Or WHAT NEXT™ for the operation of the web-site and to maintain the quality of their service.
Sharing and Usage
"Retirement" or WHAT NEXT™ will not sell, share, or rent information collected on this web-site to third parties. We do enter into contracts with third parties for the purposes of providing our service (for example, email list management), but only enter into contracts that prohibit those third parties from using any personal information of our visitors/customers for their own purposes, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide to them.
We may disclose or report personal information in limited circumstances where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required under the law.
